ABOUT KESTER STUDIO
Kester Studio has been in operation for 20 years providing classes and workshops in monoprinting, book making, and printing with paste paper. Denise Kester owns Kester Studio and is an internationally known artist specializing in viscosity monoprinting. She creates and distributes Drawing on the Dream Note Cards, established in 1992. Denise regularly exhibits her work in galleries and sells originals, prints, cards, magnets, and handmade books at art festivals. She is author of the soon to be published book of her unique creative process, “Finding My Way by Art.”
Denise Kester received her art education at the University of Georgia and printmaking techniques at Southern Oregon University. She has been studying and recording dreams for 35 years. Animals play an important role in her art and dreams. “Animals, heroes, people, and symbols come into my dreams and my art for a reason and it is up to me to find out why. I am solving the mystery of what is at issue in my life. I look at my art as I would my dreams.”
